Meet Jakie!

A United States Airforce Veteran, Jakie has been invested in his country and community throughout his life. He is the past President of Crandall Economic Development Corporation, a former board member of both the Kaufman County Livestock Show Board and the Crandall Lions Club. He has served on multiple committees, including Crandall ISD, Rotary Club in Forney, and as an Elder at the Landmark Church of Christ. He is a current Director of the Kaufman County Texas A&M Club.

A former Kaufman County Commissioner, Jakie was appointed to the National Association of Counties in Washington, D.C., and served on both the Agricultural and Rural Affairs and Immigration Task Force committees. While serving as County Commissioner, Jakie completed the 2-year V.G. Young Institute of County Government Academy and received several certificates.

A local business owner of 43 years, Jakie knows that when the government is less restrictive, businesses flourish and operate more efficiently. Having served as a Kaufman County Commissioner and being involved in preparing the county budget, it’s essential to have views from all of the Commissioners to make sure that your money is spent wisely and efficiently.

Married to the love of his life for 52 years, Judy Priest Allen, they share three children and nine grandchildren together.

Jakie currently serves as the Kaufman County Judge, where he has been a fiscal champion and delivered results for all of Kaufman County.
